DOMINION PREFERENCE. BY CABLE—PBESB ABSOCIATION—Ct. PYIUGHT LONDON, Sept. 23. 'At the annual Conservative conference, on the motion of Piofessor Hewins, a resolution was carried protesting against the' treatment of Dominion preference by Socialists and Liberals.
RAID THAT FAILED. LONDON, Sept. 23. Ali Malasi junr., a Sudan Government official, one of the leaders of the abortive attempt by Egyptian labour battalions to raid the Port Sudan barracks in August, was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment. Several associates were sentenced to various terms in gaol.
