CHEAPER CABLES. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOOIAVON.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. The Postmaster-General (Hon. J. G. Coates) stated in the House to-day that the cable rates on the Pacific route would be reduced as from December 1, when the rates would be as follow : Government Is 2d, ordinary 2s 3d, delayed Is l£d.
