T . he monthly meeting of the Plunket society was held on September 12 Present: Mesdames Sutherland (chair) Swainson, Judd, Hobday, Smith and Poynter. Apologies for absence"' were received from Mrs. Youno- and Mrs Christie. It was decided to hold the annual meeting in the rooms on October 10. A jiiost hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Sutherland for her interesting account of the work of the Dominion Conference, to which she was Manaia- delegate. Subscriptions were received from Airs. N. Gane os, Mr. J. J. Patterson £2 2s, Mrs. C. Wells ss, Mr Thornton 10s, Mrs. E. Betts 10s. It was decided to hold a jumble stall, also a street stall for sweets, produce 1 , cake, etc., to help raise very necessary funds, on Tuesday, November 4.
