The above sketch is from '*‘The Agricultural Gazette” (Eng.), and is a suitable device to prevent cows from sucking themselves. The contributor of that-the pole is held in position by a rope or-chain from the halter .and surcihgle, and does not cause discomfort to the cow when lying down. It is m fairly frequent use. in the Midlands.
