IRELAND
BOUNDARY QUESTION
FEELING OF THE PEOPLE.
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION- COPYRIGm LONDON, Sept. 15. The feeling in Ireland as a whole, except among a few extremists, is strongly in favour of a settlement of the boundary question. This is the unanimous opinion of twenty-one Conservative. Liberal, and Labour members of the House of Commons, who have just concluded a prolonged investigation into the problem on the spot.
In a letter to the Times they say that they are unanimously agreed: (1) That a satisfactory settlement can best be. reached bv a direct mutual agreement between the two parties in Ireland; (2) if negotiations are to succeed they should be started before the establishemnt of a boundary commission. They urge that there should he a meeting between representatives of Ulster and the Free State at the earliest, possible moment.
