THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day the indications are for northerly winds, stropg to gale, and backing by north to west. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled with gain probable. Barometer falling, but rising after about 36 hours. Seas heavy; tides good.
