A sensation lias been caused in psychic circles by a report that the late Lord Northcliffe is sending spiritual messages to Miss Owen, for twenty years his private secretary and confidential frieud. Mr. Swaffer, editor of the newspaper People, vVhieh is publishing Miss Owen’s story, states that Miss Owen is practical minded and is unlikely to imagine things. After hearing Conan Doyle had spoken to Lord Northcliffe, she attended a seance conducted by Mrs. Osborne Leonard, London College psychic scientist, who was juot aware that Miss Owen knew Lord Northcliffe. Immediately the njedium went into a trance her speech revealed Lord Northcliffe, who spoke foi; two hours. He referred to his relatives and members of his staff, and said he was distressed about the litigation over his will. Lord Northcliffe’s voice continued: “I meet wonderful people from the earth. I was with Joseph Conrad when he passed over. lam as active here as on earth. Must be up and doing. lam glad I passed over. I was disappointed at first, because there were so many earthly things to complete.” He referred to how tired lie was. He Was unable to think or write anything that was not confused and distorted. You will be glad to know I have chosen a country home. I dislike great cities without sunshine. I have a beautiful home with flowerbeds and even conservatories.
