ELTHAM BRANCH
The monthly meeting ,of the Eltfiam branch of the Plunket Society was attended by Mesdames Wanklyh (chair), Haden, Campbell, Crump, Harrison, Drayton, Best, Foord, Carson,. Walsh, Fountame, McDonald and Weir. The secretary reported having received a telegram from Mrs Hawken that the conference was over and wasvery satisfactory; also a letter-'from Stratford explaining that, as they had so many extra expenses to meet," they could not see their way to reduce the Eitham charges.. - - .. A letter from Mrs Whitehead in connection with renting a room from, the . society was received. • The Horticultural Society . advised that the Plunket Society’s application to run tea rooms in conjunction with the show was granted on payment of £1 10s. . ■ • _
Arrangements were made with the different members of the committee to help iii the tea rooms at the show on the 17th; also arrangements made for selling tickets and selling -sweets for the Magpie entertainment, on October
