MEETING OF COUNCIL
(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Sept. Id. The annual"meeting of the Dominion Rowling Associations’ Coiit < ii was held to-day, All" F. Meadoworoft presiding. The report showed that there were 18 centres, the clubs totalling 272, and the players 14,■577. Air R. W. Shall; miss was elected secretary.
Marlborough was empo.wered to fonn a new , centre, and Tauranga’s request for affiliation to the Auckland Centre was granted.
Rule 6, section 1, was altered tc read: “Bowl which in its original course comes to rest less than 20ft. freon the front edge of the mat shall be dead.’’
The foot on mat ruleNvas altered La read: “One foot on the mat, and wholly within the boundaries of the mat.”
!t was decided that the minimum size of a mat -be 36_in. by 15in. • It was decided tliafi singles, pans, and .rinks be played; ~at the a.miual tournament, the singles’to be r'.ayed during the first three days and the pairs on the following three days
