The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for the 24 hours from 9 a.nr to-day the indications are for northerly winds, moderate to strong, freshening and backing by west to .south. Expect, increasing haze and cloudiness for a change. The barometer has a falling tendency. Seas and tides moderate.
