INJURED IN MOTOR SMASH. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PAHIATUA, Sept. 1. As the result of a motor-smash today at Hamua, Mrs. Ada Bell wood is m hospital suffering from concussion, a- gashed lip, and a severe cut on the forehead. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Bellwood escaped with minor injuries. The party belong to Wellington. Mr. Belhvood, who represents a city engineering firm, was travelling in a twoton covered motor-van, and swerved to allow a motor-cyclist to pass, when the vehicle overturned. INJURIES TO FOOTBALLER. PAHIATUA, Sept. 1. A. J. Smith, of Mangatainoka, suffered a double fracture of the collarbone while playing football, and was sent to hospital.
