The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for the 24 hours from 9 a.m to-day the indications are for south T easterly winds, moderate to strong, and backing by east to north. There i.s a prospect of fair to cloudy weather. Tne night will probably be very cold, with frosts inland. Barometer little movement. Sea moderateswell ; tides poor.-
