They gaV e the programme at a' Sf Ui last eek > and were accorded a great reception and very general appreciation by large audiences. Their numbers include several very fine part songs : ‘Mosquitoes,” which may be Pde--bed % nomotopoeia, sound imitaFallen Heroes,” a dramatip sett | he ta j-? of the Spartans at Thermopylae; Greig’s choral ballad Recognition of Land,” and in lighter vem a negro. melody, “Deep River”; the well-known “Funiculi Funicula” • and a march chorus, “The Mulligan Musketeers.” With them will be several artists of outstanding ability— Mrs. Leo Campion, a fine contralto, a New Zealand gold medallist; Mr. Tieior Thomas, a baritone with a voice of outstanding quality; Mr. W. Robertson a popular Wanganui tenor; and i r ' ?. rre - n a es > a gifted and versatile elocutionist. It will thus be seen that the evening’s performance to-morrow will be one that must appeal to all tastes. The Opera House is certain to be hilecl to overflowing with an enthusiastic audience
