Owing to a postman being unable to deliver registered letters the police forced the door of a bungalow at Lancing) and found Mrs Strachan, aged 60, tying in a pool of blood, and a dog, which appeared to have been killed, under a bed. No one has been seen about the bungalow for three weeks.
