The Hawke’s Bay team to play Auckland for the Ranfurly Shield on Saturday is as follows : Full-hack —Yates. - Three-quarters—Grenside, Blake, Fulwasser. hive-eighths—Mardon, Kivell. Half—Corkill. Wing forward—Walker. Forwards—Hebberley, Gemmell, McNab, Ormond, Mahoney, Kirkpatrick, Wylie. TO-MORROW’S GAME. GOOD MATCH EXPECTED. It is expected that to-morrow’s rep. game will be a good one to watch, as the North Auckland team is a lot stronger than some people think it is. A Taranaki man who saw the game against Auckland said that Auckland were lucky to win, and from his description of the play this seems to have been the case. However, the visitors will be up against a tough proposition in the Taranki team. The North Aucklanders ayirived in Hawera last night, and to-day were the guests ot the Taranaki Rugby Union on a motor trip to New Plymouth. The match to-morrow is timed to start at 2 p.m.. in order to enable the visitors to connect with steamer at New Plymouth that night. The Taranaki football semi-finals in the second and third grades were played at Inglewood yesterday, on a dry ground and in the presence of n good attendance. Stratford drew with Urenui after a hard-fought game, each side scoring three points. In the third grade semi-final Stratford was far too strong for the Clifton team, and won comfortably by 17 points to 3. Stratford will play off with Eltham for the provincial championship. s THE ASSOCIATION GAME. For the match to be played at Mnnaia to-morrow for the benefit- of Mr. Geo. H.
