FOUR DISTRICTS OPPOSED. A REFORM ADVOCATED. DENTAL QUALIFICATIONS. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, Aug. 21. At a meeting of the Court of Convocation, Otago University district, a motion was carried that the time is not ripe for the division of the New Zealand University into four district universities. A motion was also carried that rexoim is urgently required in certain aspects of the university system, especially as regards its relation to secondary education, and that a suitable enquiry be undertaken by the benate as soon as possible. At the same meeting Professor Bell moved that, in view of the fact that the Dental Act, 1905, has provided a recognised method for • entering the dental profession, this court is strongly opposed to any further amendment admitting anyone to the dental profession at any lower qualification, since such a course would constitute a danger to the community at Hiroe the resolution was carried. &
