THE WEATHER
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that, for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-da.y the indications are for westerly winds, moderate to strong and backing; by west to south. Expect changeable and showery weather, and the weather will probably become colder. Barometer unsteady, but rising soon. Sea considerable; tides good.
