The International Famine Relief Committee has received verified reports that the number of known deaths from the flood amounts to 13,115. The committee estimates that 15,000,000 people are affected in the flooded areas of Hunan, Chilhi, Kiangsi, Fukien, Kwangtung, Shentung, Honan and Hupei, while about £2,500,000 is required for relief. — Reuter.
