MANSLAUGHTER CASE. (by TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. In the charge of manslaughter against I McDevitt, in connection with the death of Henry Cross, traffic inspector, who was killed on the Hutt load, the jury, after a retirement of two hours, returned a verdict of not guiltv.
