THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day the indications are for variable and strong breezes, northerly strong to. gale prevailing. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog m parts. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers rising shortly Barometer falling. Sea heavy: tides high.
