RAILWAYMEN DEMAND RESIGNATION. STOP-WQ-RK MEETING. BRISBANE, Aug. 1. At a stop-work meeting of railwaymen at Roma Street to-day motions were carried as follows:—■

“That the men at Roma Street demand restoration of .the 5 per cent, reduction by Mr. Theodore and his Cabinet, and instruct the Wage Committee to use every available means to secure a minimum wage of £4 os.” ‘That we are of the opinion that Mr. Theodore has sold out to the London Jews, that he no longer represents the workers, ami we call upon him to resign. Further, we call upon the Queensland Central Executive to exercise its ; authority and compel the workers’ political representatives to' do their duty to the workers wiio placed them in power.” “That we hold another stop-work meeting immediately after the Queensland Central Executive hears the report of the Anti-Wage Reduction Commi <vm e i a,u ' ec^e on further action.'’ i hat we urge the railway workers throughout the State to hold stopwork protest meetings.’’ The resolutions were carried unanimously. The Australian Railways Union received a telegram that the Townsville members will bold a meeting tomorrow.
