THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day the indications are for variable breezes, but easterly moderate to strong, and backing by east to north. There., is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather. The night will probably be very cold, with frosts inland. Barometer little, movement. Seas moderate swell; tides good.
