RAILWAYMEN.
INQUIRY DELAYED. (By Telegraph.— Special to Star). WELLINGTON, Aug. 9. * Ine il demands of the Amalgamated Society of Railwaymen are still under the consideration of a tribunal, includlng Mr Justice Frazer, president of the Arbitration Court. It was stated to-day by the Minister for Railways m reply to Mr Wilford, that the Raill way Board meets on August 12 to comP J .^ e . lts deliberations. Owing to the difficulty it experienced in coming to conclusions on certain vital points and Arbitration Court work mounting there had to be this adjournment. Hei did not anticipate that when the board resumed it would he more than a few days in coming to a final decision". Its (report will be submitted to Cabinet and then made public.
