FIRE.
LARGE RESIDENCE DESTROYED. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIER, Aug. 8. A 14-roomed residence owned by T. E. Lindsay, across the inner harbour from Napier, was completely destroyed by fire early this morning, 'the inmates having scant time to escape in their night clothes. The building cost £9OOO four years ago, .and was insured for £6OOO in the Union Assurance Office.
