JUNE QUARTER RETURNS. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON. Aug. 6. The public accounts for the .i't sne quarter show that the total receipts were £11,564,402, including a balance Drought forward of £4,954,713, ordinary revenue £5,215,705, and territorial £16,502. Expenditure totalled 9,342,H 4, leaving a balance of £422,328, against which there were Treasury bills outstanding to the amount of £600,000. Public works expenditure included railways £185,776, additions to open lines £126,305, roads £114.269, telegranh extension £126,014. Treasury bills redeemed totalled £500,000, leaving a balance of just over £2,000,000.
