When the question of the recent reduction in the price of benzine was before a meeting of the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce, Mr. W. J. Giiberd pointed out that New Plymouth could still land benzine at their port at. Is per ease cheaper than they could in Wanganui. New Plymouth, he said, was a smaller place than Y’anganui; and they also got supplies of benzine through 'Wellington. Tie considered that -local people should be able to get their benzine for the same price as the Taranaki people. It was decided to thank the Vacuum Oil Company for the information they bad supplied in regard to the matter, and point out that there was still a difference of Is in the price of benzine sold in New Plymouth and Wanganui.— Chronicle.
