A great crowd listened while the defence related stories of the fantastic aspirations of Dickie Loeb to become the leading criminal of the age, havi'bff a great underworld organisation to do his bidding like some ancient pirate. On one occasion, before the Franks murder, Loeb seriously considered doing away with his partner Leopold because tile latter was failing in courage for their joint sex crimes. The real object of the Franks murder was to commit what Loeb regarded as the perfect crime of the organisation.—Sydney Sun Cables.
