Speaking at a conference of cremation authorities at Wembley, Bishop Gore, said the idea that the resurrection of the dead means the recollection of the material atoms of the body at the end of the world is impossible and unintelligent. The idea of the material resurrection of the hodv received no sanction in the early davs of Christianity.
