The Persian Government has assured the State Department that it will take steps in regard to the murder of the American Vice-Consul (Major Imbrie), leaving no ground whatever for anxiety on the part of the United States Government.
Replying to the American communication regarding full protection for Americans in Persia and threatening to break off diplomatic relations* as a result of the killing of the Vice-Consul ancl the subsequent attack upon his wife, the Persian Government declared that it would repair the incident ancl fulfil the points suggested bv the United States.
