CAUGHT IN SANDSTORM. AIR FORCE OFFICERS MISSING. JT ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Aug. 1, 9.25 a.m. _ BAGDAD, July 31. Reports state that, caught a few days ago in a desert sandstorm, two Royal Air Force officers. Flight Lieut. Day and Pilot Officer Stewart were forced to land 18 miles south of the Basranasiriyah railway line. The machine has since been found, but searches failed to trace the officers, who, it is reared, perished in endeavouring to reach the railway.—Times.
