Advices from Sao Paulo state that a quarter of a million civilians are still there, despite an occasional bombardment from the ' Brazilian Federals. Every night raids cause severe fighting in the suburbs and the cities. Food is scarce, and the Leading hotels have been transformed into hospitals, and some of the finest buildings have been damaged by shells. A report circulated in Rio states that the rebellion has spread to other cities, but the censorship is so strict, that it is difficult to obtain an idea of the general situation.—Sydney Sun Cable.
