Lochsan arrived at Ricearton’ to-day to complete Ijis preparation for the Grand National Hurdle .Handicap, for which i:e is likely to he one of the wellbacked candidates. J. Royal Star and Silent King gave a good display over four hurdles. Sir Rosebery was given a working gallop over a. mile. Oakleigh and Taralga gave a fine exhibition while jumping four fences. Dame Straitlace covered a mile in 1 min 52 sec Charlatan and Tigerland went once round over the steeplechase fences. Charlatan out-jumped hi s mate at each ■ obstacle. VETERAN JOCKEY'S PERFORMANCE, LONDON, July 26. Humphries, a jockey aged 70. rode the winner in a desperate finish for His Majesty’s Cup at Jersey by a neck. He received congratulations from the King. Humphries rode in the same race half a century ago.
