STEEL AND IRON WORKERS STRIKE. ; 2Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Julv 28, 9.55 a.m. LONDON, July 27. The Times Warsaw c-onrespondent states that thirty thousand iron and steel workers in Polish Upper Silesia have struck as a. protest against the introduction of the ten hours day without- an increase in wages, which were recently reduced. The employers contend that the longer day is necessary in order to meet competition from German Silesia, where a ten hours’ day is operating.—Times.
