STARTED WITHOUT A PENNY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, July 26. Sir Robert Ropner, the shipbuilder, left. £3,615,800. The estate duties amount to £1,468,000. The deceased was born in Prussia and his parents intended him for the Lutheran ministry. He stowed away on board a ship, however, and landed in England without a penny and without a friend. He entered the employment of a shipping office and nineteen years later became sole owner of the fleet.
