CHARALTER QUALIFICATIONS. NO SUNDAY BUSINESS. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, July 24. At a conference of the Real Estate Institute ol New Zealand, the following resolutions were passed: That in addition to satisfying a magistrate as to his financial standing and character every applicant for a license shall he required to pass an examination, the scope and character of which are |o he determined by the institute; that affiliated associations should notify members that they, as employers should strongly discountenance business being followed on Sundays. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. W. F. Harrop (Auckland); vice-presidents, Mr. W. S. Foote (South Canterbury) and Mr. S. Harcourt- (Wellington); treasurer, Mr. "H. C. Tewslcv (Auckland): 'secretary, Mr. W. J. A. Thomson (Auckland); Parliamentary secretary, Mr. H. j. Stott (Wellington)
