—* NOXIOUS WEEDS. (By Telegraph. —Special to Star). WELLINGTON, July 24. The member for Patea (Mr J. R. Corrigan) has asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will consider offering a substantial bonus to the person or persons who devise or invent an effective, inexpensive method for destroying noxious weeds, particularly blackberry? EXPERIMENT A L FA RM. DESTRUCTION OF WILD PIGS. WELLINGTON. July 23. In the Estimates the Agriculture Department takes v. vote of £375 for the establishment of an experimental farm at Lepperton Junction, and the rentals from 'Moumahaki will pay the cost of this establishment. A sum of £IOO is voted for the destruction of wild pigs in Whangainomo'iui County.
