MACDONALD CAUSES SENSATION
BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, July 21. the Daily Express says a sensation has been created- among supporters of the League of Nations owing to the i remier (Mr Ramsay MacDonald) writing to Sir Eric Drummond (general secretary of the League) saying: ‘‘lt is impossible to lend militarv aid to anv signatory state in case of aggression. Britain cannot afford to act as the world s policeman, even if the whistle is blown at Geneva.”
