To further assist the ranger a resolution was passed to the effect that anyone having cattle impounded and refusing to pay the lee be prosecuted. ” Mr J. A resolution was passed by the board, and ordered to be forwarded to the Minister of Public Works, to the effect that the Police Station here was in such a dilapidated state that it was quite uninhabitable, i-nd that dwellinghouses in better condition had in the past been condemnecr by the health officer, and the board thought that they were only furthering the interests of the Department by suggesting that a new station be built Instead of wasting money on repairs, as contemplated. Messrs O. J. Hawken and J R. Corrigan, M’s.P., who had inspected the building, were both of opinion that a new station was absolutely necessary.
