Aii enjoyable social evening; was held at the Carlton Tea Rooms last night under the auspices of Hhwern. Poultry Club, the president. Mr C. Cudby, presiding. The usual toast list was honoured, and musical and elocutionary items were given by Messrs R. and B. McDonald 1 , Dowdle and J. Hoddinott. During the evening Mr A. E. Gardener stated that it was his intention to donate a cun for annual competition at the Hawera Winter Show.
