GAMING HOUSE.
KEEPER. FINED £IOO. . , OTHERS FINED SMALLER AMOUNTS. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, July 17. The 27 men arrested in the gaming house raid last night appeared at the Police Court this morning. All were convicted on a charge of being found in a common gaining house. Two were convicted and discharged, one was fined £2 and the remainder £5 each. The keeper, John Bartlett Bakalich, admitted running the house as a gaming house for the last six weeks, and was fined £IOO.
