BATTLESHIP EXPLOSION. *Y GABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, July 15. The explosion on board the battleship Mississippi on June 12, in which forty-four men and three officers were killed, resulted from insufficient air pressure being used in cleaning the bore of a big gun.
