STRATFORD DEMONSTRATION FARM.

MONTHLY MEETING. . The regular monthly meeting of the Executive Committee was held on AVed r nesday, July 9, there being present: Messrs. J. B. Richards, M. P. Phillips, K. Tarrant, E. Alarfell. Apologies were received on behalf of Alessrs J. AV. Deem and P. Morresey. Air Richards was appointed chairman for the meeting. Correspondence re annual subsidy was read, and received, and it was resolved that this matter be brought up for consideration at the August meeting. On behalf of the Stock Committee, Air Phillips reported that one cow and nine heifers had been sold, that everything in connection' with the stock on the farm was quite satisfactory, and that he had visited the farm on several occasions since the last meeting. The Farm Committee reported that slag and kainit had been used in accordance withinstructions from the 1 previous meeting, and that a further three tons of slag had been purchased for the purpose of top-dressing other grass areas. Draft statement of accounts and bal-ance-sheet for the 12 months’ period ending June 30, 1924, was presented and discussed in comparison with the previous year’s figures. The statement was approved, and instructions issued that same be submitted for audit. It was resolved that the seventh annual meeting be held in Egmont Chambers, Stratford, on Saturday, August 9, at 1.30 p.m. Messrs K. Tarrant and. M. T. Phillips (members’ representatives) and Messrs Richards and Alarfell (guarantors’ representatives) are the retiring > members of the Executive Committee, and are eligible for reelection. Air Richards was appointed as the society’s representative to attend the annual meeting of the Stratford Co-op. Dairy Company. Accounts amounting to £54 16s 6d were passed for payment.
