INTER NATION A L CON VENTION OPENED BY PRINCE OF WALES. 8Y rJABIJt—PREBP ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT Received July 15. 11.10 a.m. LONDON, July 14. The first international advertising convention in Europe was opened by the Prince of Wales at the Palace of Industry at Wembly, which was decorated with the flags of different countries. Mr. J. H. Thomas and the American Ambassador (Mr. Kellog) were present. The Prince of Wales vas given an enthusiastic reception. Lord Burnham welcomed the delegates. | The Prince of Wales said that advertising aimed at providing throughout the world a freer exchange of commodities at a lower cost of distribution, resulting in the elimination of the unemployment wave and a reduction in prices.
Mr. Kellog said he believed that the inter-Allied Conference in London would solve the greatest economic problem that had confronted Europe for generations.
Mr. Thomas welcomed the delegates on behalf of the Government. —Reuter.
