ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
BODY OF INFANT. (BY TELEGRAPR —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, July 14. The body of a newly-born infant, in an advanced stage of decomposition, was found on the mud flats at Orakei. A post mortem failed to .disclose whether the infant had lived after birth. MOTOR CAB. COLLISION. AUCKLAND, July 14. A collision between motor cars on Sunday afternoon resulted in Miss F., C. Porter, of Parnell, sustaining injuries necessitating her removal to the hospital. • . FRACTURED SKULL. AUCKLAND, July 14. Charles Williams, aged .58, died at the Waiulcu Hospital as a.'result of accident on July 7. lie was felling a tree by means of a windlass, when- a gust caught the tree, causing it. to spring hack, the handle of the windlass striking deceased ou the head. A verdict was returned that death was due to meningitis, accelerated by" a fractured skull. Deceased leaves a widow and a family of eleven, the youngest being 11 years old.
