Germany’s hopes from the London conference are changing to anxiety and apprehension. It is said that Chancellor Marx, addressing pressmen, said the German Government intends honestly to enforce the Dawes plan, but with the stipulation that the plan must be. carried out by all parties in the letter and spirit. If France demands the maintenance of the Peace Treaty she must understand that we insist on the preservation of our rights thereunder.—Reuter.
