ENGLISH TEAM. TROUBLE OVER A GROUND. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIAJJ'ON.) i i CHRISTCHURCH, July 9. The Canterbury A. and P. Association decided this afternoon that the Canterbury Rugby Union should be advised that the association desired the show grounds on the Wednesday afternoon on which the Canterbury League footballers will play England on the trotting grounds (next door). It was explained that it would be a protest to the union for refusing the League’s application for the show grounds and for the “snub” given to the A. and P. Association by the union in refusing to hear a deputation from the association. During the discussion members pointed out that the proposal would prevent the union from staging a counterattraction. '
