A. GOOD SAVE.

FIRE IN WELLINGTON. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, July 7. A fire in Lambton Quay this morning wiped out the shop of Bruce Howe, mercer, in Harold Brown and Company’s buildings. The fire was caused by the accidental ignition of a- box of wax matches, Avhich were dropped on a bundle of tissue paper. The brigade effected a good save. The insurances were: £I4OO on Howe’s stock, and £l5O on the tearooms,' ownejd by Mrs Lavery next doar, which was damaged by water and smoke.
