The Legislative Council passed through all its stages this moaning the Imprest Supply Bill, voting supply for Government departments. A month’s leave of absence on account of illness whs granted Sir EdwaM Mitchelson, and leave of absence for the duration of the session was granted to the Hon. E. Newman, who-is absent from the Dominion. The Hon. Mr. -Cohen gave notice of motion drawing the attention of the Government to the case: of the lad Duval, the American seaman adjudicated upon by Mr. Poynton, S.M., at Auckland recently.
