PLANES NOT PAID FOR. THREAT BY ITALY. By CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGH I *' ROME, June 23. Owing to the balance of £14,000 outstanding in connection with aeroplanes specially built for Captain Roald Amundsen’s polar flight not having been handed to the Italian Government, the latter have intimated that if the amount was not paid in a fortnight the .Government would take over the machines, conduct the flight, and invite. Captain Amundsen to accompany the fliers as second in command.
