On New Year's Eve a special passenger train (stopping where required) will leave Napier for Hastings at 11 p.m. On New Year's Day, Ist January, 1898, the usual time-table will be suspended. Dannevirke-Waipukurau-Napier trains will run as below. On Monday, 3rd January, 1898, the usual time-table will be observed with the following amendments and additions. The afternoon train to Waipukurau will leave Napier l.&i p.m., Farndon 5 p.m., flastinga 5.53, Racecourse 5.40, arriving Waipukurau 7.37 p.m. The 2.50 p.m. train, "Woodville to Napier, will leave Waipukurau at 7.5 p.m. (other stations at usual times). Trains will leave Napier for Racecourse, 11 a.m., 11.15 a.m., and 1.5 p.m. (the 11 a.m. train does not stop at stations between Napier and Racecourse). Trains will leave Racecourse for Napier, 4.52 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. On Ist January goods traffic will be suspended and all goods sheds closed, For cheap fares between all stations and for fuller information see posters or inquire at stations.
